This position allows college students the opportunity to gain real world experience in a field while completing their studies.

INTERNSHIP DURATION: At least 20 hours per week, flexibility on days for when work is completed. Preference for availability three days a week.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support Itron’s Data Center power distribution units, including low and high voltage equipment, cable installation and hardware installation

• Utilize workplace hand tools to complete Data Center tasks (i.e. measuring tape, screw driver, etc.)

• Pulling and pushing cable and equipment, maintaining cable connections, tracking power connections

• Documenting data center fixtures for remote access

• Lift and move equipment, up to 50lbs unassisted

• Follow workplace safety protocols and maintain confidentiality of equipment and data

EDUCATION:

• Enrolled in a related accredited two- or four-year degree program (i.e. Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Technician, Information Technology)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Within reasonable commuting distance to Itron’s Data Center in Las Vegas, NV (this role is on-site not remote).

• Ability to read and understand instructions, standard operating, and safety procedures

• Able to stoop, stand, crouch, reach, bend, twist, climb a ladder and lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted (supported lifting beyond 50lbs)

• Clear and professional communication skills including written documentation

• Ability to productively work with multi-lingual colleagues

• Experience working independently and efficiently

PREFERRED:

• Related internship or work experience

TRAVEL: 0-10%
