Using modern programming languages and technologies, this Intern - Data Engineer will participate in regular development activities, including writing code for features, analyze data, build infrastructure pipeline and participate in daily team standups to support

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and execution of code in C# to support product integration

• Participate in product design reviews to provide input on integration of functional requirements, product designs, and forecasting

• With support, analyze and decompose complex software systems and collaborate with and influence others to improve the overall design

• Develop and support the testing of product features throughout the entire development cycle

• Collaborate frequently with data team and project stakeholders

TECHNOLOGIES: C#, Azure, .NET 7, SQL

DURATION: Summer 2023, 40 hours/wk

Education: Enrolled in a related degree or training program (Computer Science, Data Science, Data Engineering preferred) with completion of at least two years of college courses.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions

• Programming experience in C#

• Working knowledge of databases

• Strong documentation skills

• Professional workplace communication skills

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a group

• Available ~40 hours/week, summer 2023

PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Experience working in Azure

• Work with relational databases like SQL Server or PostgreSQL

• Prior related experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This is a typical office job, with no special physical requirements or unusual work environment.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills and experience. Washington State: The base wage is state minimum per hour - $34.62. This position is also eligible for paid vacation, 401k matching, employee stock purchase program, hybrid work schedule, and more!
