This intern will support Itron’s lab team in San Jose, working on site with experienced engineers to maintain lab operations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify and debug issues across Itron’s mesh network and smart city RF communications

• Set up and run tests, including verification of data and compile test reports

• Collaborate with senior lab engineers to various San Jose projects

• Complete lab equipment calibration

• Support lab reorganization and bench cleanup

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Education: Enrolled in a related accredited degree program (preference for electrical engineer) and completion of at least two years of college level courses

• Understanding or completion of RF and digital analog courses

• Ability to program in Python

• Experience organizing, cleaning and calibrating lab equipment

• Available to work ~40 hours/week during the summer, on site in a lab environment in San Jose, CA

• Professional workplace communication skills

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills and experience.

San Jose, CA: The base hourly wage is $25.00 - $45.67
