Join Itron in West Union, SC to support on-site HR operations. This paid intern position allows college students to gain real world experience in human resources to complement their studies.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide support to HR programs that are being developed, maintained and implemented, including engaging directly with employees on a variety of HR related tasks.

• Learn and understand business implications of HR decisions.

• With support, lead some local HR initiatives, programs, and documentation.

• Ask questions and offer input when supervisors deal with more complex situations.

• Support coordinating employee events.

• Learn and understand any regulations related to departmental tasks.

• Help department stay abreast of latest developments in the field and in any changes related to HR educational practices.

• Assist with assigned HR duties.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Education: Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university. Preference will be given to candidates majoring in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related fields.

• Professional workplace communication skills

• Intermediate workplace software competencies (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)

• Available at least 20-hours per week in summer, preference for candidates who are available full-time (40-hours per week).

• Able to work on-site in West Union, SC

• Interest and curiosity to grow understanding of Human Resources

PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Prior related work, internship or volunteer experience
