    Amine Plant Operator I Location US-TX-Encinal Req No. 2018-7724 Category Pipeline (Midstream Operations) Overview Operates and maintains equipment required in the sweetening process of natural gas. Responsibilities Equipment upkeep : Performs various maintenance activities on equipment at plant on a daily, weekly and monthly basis according to prescribed equipment schedules. Diagnoses and repairs routine issues discovered during maintenance and reports non-routine issues to supervisor. Equipment operation : Starts, stops and operates motors/pumps and other equipment to maintain designated operating parameters. Reads meters and gauges or automatic recording devices at specified intervals to verify operating conditions. Responds to urgent matters that may arise with plant functionality as needed. Record keeping : Records and reports data such as temperature of equipment, hours of operation, fuel consumed, temperature or pressure, water levels, analysis of flue gases, voltage load and generator balance. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
