Sewer Inspector Mark Thomas & Company - Cupertino, CA The role of the
Inspector is to perform inspections, evaluations and maintenance on the
main sewer system for sanitary sewer districts contracted to the
Company. The Inspector ensures that contractors servicing the sewer
systems comply with client districts' ordinances, resolutions and
requirements. The Inspector also ensures that construction methods,
equipment, standards, workmanship and quantity and quality of materials
meets plans, specifications, laws and regulations. The Inspector will
take direction from the Operations Manager. General Responsibilities *
Coordinate work with Contractors to facilitate installations,
inspections, channeling manholes and cleaning lines * Inspect district
pipelines and follow up on maintenance recommendations * Monitor and
service pump and lift stations * Prepare daily reports for the work
performed * Observe all appropriate safety precautions as required *
Communicate with the public in a clear, concise, and professional manner
Education, Skills, and Abilities * A high school diploma is preferred.
Additional education is a plus * 2-5+ years of relevant work experience
- Sewer CCTV experience strongly preferred * Achieve the Grade 1 CWEA
Collection System Certification within 6 months of hire date * Basic
knowledge of methods, materials, tools and equipment used in
construction and maintenance * Experienced in the use of hand and power
tools, including air compressors, jack hammers, and cement mixers *
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint,
Outlook) * Ability to work on multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly
- Demonstrate effective written and verbal skills * Ability to read
various engineering drawings and specifications * Ability to travel *
Hold a valid driver's license in the State of California 13 hours ago -
