Join our team today -Job Overview Employees in this role provide command, communications, and control functions for the 24/7 Security Operations Center including access control, alarm monitoring and assessment, dispatch and communications, emergency response and critical incident management. This job is also responsible for directing and staffing an assigned team of security personnel to carry out the daily operations of the department. Job Duties & Responsibilities -Monitors command center systems for functionality and status, conducts basic troubleshooting and assessment prior to escalating problems to the Systems Support team -Works in conjunction with Systems and Physical Security Specialists to test and troubleshoot alarm and access control devices and infrastructure to ensure system integrity -Monitors and ensures full NERC CIP compliance relative to access control issues -Documents proper physical access to and from NERC CIP critical sites -Ensures proper notification and coordination for cyber incident reporting, business continuity and storm related activities -Manages access control issues to include processing of employee and contractor ID badges -Prepares written documentation on technical problems, incidents, front line investigative issues and other security-related matters -Administers contractor workforce database and coordinates contract security officer activities -Acts on all customer service related calls and either resolves them personally or refers issues to the appropriate individuals -Functions as command and control liaison during incidents and communicates their status to response members, senior management and other involved parties -Performs other job-related duties as assigned Required Qualifications -High School Grad / GED -Experience: 0+ years -Valid Driver's License (NON CDL) Preferred Qualifications -Bachelor's Degree Employee Group:Non Exempt Employee Type:Full Time Job Category:Security Organization:Florida Power & Light Company Location:Juno Beach, Florida Other Work Locations:Florida Relocation Provided:No NextEra Energy is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
