NPL Human Resoures Business Partners provide on-site regional HR support for union and non-union employees in PA, OH, CT with occasional support for VA, and MD as well. You will assist in the administration of HR policies and procedures, performance management, employee relations, training, talent acquisition and other related functions as well as ensure compliance with state and federal employment regulations. Must be able to maintain confidentiality on all HR related matters.     • Provide effective and timely human resources support to various NPL regions * Partner with Operations to source and select candidates for current and future hiring needs * Build relationships with tech schools, trades, military and other strategic partners * Assist supervisors on employee relations issues and act as a liaison between employees, management and union as needed * Conduct investigations related to workplace concerns brought forward by employees/managers * Conduct new employee orientation * Conduct training on various HR/management topics
    • Support change management initiatives * Maintain HRIS records and personnel files * Analyze data to improve in areas such as turnover, hiring sources, time to fill and other areas that impact workforce planning * Coordinate leaves of absence and return to work activity * Assist with unemployment claims * Assist employees with benefits questions * Perform other related duties as assigned or requested Education, Skills, Experience Needed * Bachelors Degree and 3-5 years HR experience or equivalent education and work experience. * Union experience preferred * Knowledge of SAP or SuccessFactors beneficial * General knowledge of all Human Resources disciplines * Demonstrated ability to influence without authority * Knowledge of safety practices, Workers Compensation and basic OSHA regulations * Computer Literate including MS Word, Excel, and HRIS * Mathematical skill to calculate and interpret data using percentages, ratios, averages, and medians * Oral and written communication skill * Ability to provide a high level of customer service * Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists * Ability to work effectively with ambiguity and with periodic supervisory guidance * Ability to maintain confidentiality Working Environment * Work is typically performed in a regular office setting * Occasional overnight travel via motor vehicle and commercial airlines * Visits to job sites require use of personal protective equipment with some exposure to adverse conditions * Ability to be mobile within an office, warehouse and construction site environment * Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds Requirements * Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check * Provide valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify * Employment and Education verification as applicable * Valid drivers license with clean driving record Equal Employment Opportunity Employer This job description is subject to change at any time.
