Summer Interns: College students are hired based on strategic university recruiting needs as identified on an annual basis. The intern period is a minimum of 10 weeks, beginning June 3, 2019 and ending Mid- August. Position Description: Engineering students at PSEGLI are considered to be an integral part of the Engineering staff and are provided with tasks that are both technically challenging and educationally stimulating. Under guidance of the Senior Engineering Staff the students will be assigned to teams associated with ongoing Research and Design programs. Duties include (but not limited to): - Assist engineering staff by identifying process improvements. - Learn all processes, procedures and assist in network analysis and fulfillment design. - Create flow charts and spreadsheets in support of staff engineering projects. - Provide engineering support and assistance for quality issues as required. Electrical Engineering or Technical Curriculum: - Assist VLF Tan/Delta testing on distribution cable. - Assist testing and identifying faulted transmission cable. - Observe meter & test, planning and design, & SP&T functions. - Assigned to perform inventory management on transmission spare parts. - SAP, Ariba reconciliations. Education and Qualifications: Required: - College level rising Juniors and Seniors with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher seeking an engineering degree may apply. - This position requires driving to company locations and off-site assignments and events, applicants must possess a valid drivers license with a safe and satisfactory driver history.
