Female Founders Fund is excited to announce that we are opening up summer internships. Since 2014, we’ve been fortunate to work with incredible female founders creating industry-leading companies across internet and technology.

We’re looking for students who are deeply interested in the startup and tech ecosystem to spearhead a new project for the fund. This is an opportunity for tech-savvy candidates interested in ecommerce, who have an eye for what will appeal to customers and know how to organize and interpret data to launch a new platform.

The summer 2018 Ecommerce Internship is suitable for an MBA candidate or design graduate student with experience in retail or brands and project management, who is looking to gain exposure to the world of early stage venture, and is enthusiastic about taking on a new initiative and launching an ecommerce platform by the end of their internship.

The role will involve management of the following responsibilities:

• Strategy: help develop and carry out the strategic vision for a F3 ecommerce platform.
• Website Design: Determine the format and features of the website in order to maximize clarity and ease of navigation for users. Liaise with the Web designers to develop and alter the website as needed.
• Research & Development: research new developments in the e-marketing world and the fund’s core demographic and how best to reach them.
• Analytics: Set up tools and systems to track site analytics and sales, parse insights from the data to optimize user experience.
• Marketing: Help develop a launch strategy and tailored marketing campaign

• Bachelor’s degree from a top undergraduate program
• Current MBA candidate or graduate design student
• Experience with project management, web development and/or sales/digital sales
• Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, UX, Dreamweaver, Google Analytics
• A desire to meaningfully impact the conversations and dialogues in technology
• A strong detail orientation — we like lists, and hope you do too
• A highly independent and self-directed work ethic
• Ability to roll up your sleeves and do the dirty work
