As the Accounting Assistant - Corporate Receptionist at Crescent Electric, you will serve as the front desk receptionist at the Corporate Office. You will direct calls, greet office guests, and support the Accounting Department. In this role, you will assist with Accounting responsibilities, such as monthly journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and other projects as needed.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Post monthly journal entries.

• Assist with the weekly reconciliation of the main bank account, including cleared checks, ACH transactions, and credit card transactions.

• Complete monthly general ledger reconciliation of various accounts.

• Complete monthly branch bank reconciliations.

• Complete bank cash transfers as needed.

• Complete monthly direct inventory reconciliation.

• Run monthly general ledgers reports for credit department and others as needed.

• Assist with reviewing and resolving items on the AP Unbilled Report.

• Assist with reconciliation and preparation of year-end paperwork and reports for annual independent audit and tax returns.

SKILLS:

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word, and other basic office equipment.

• Possess strong organization and communication (verbal and written) skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associates degree in Accounting or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
