Accounts Payable Expense Specialist
As the Accounts Payable Expense Specialist at Crescent Electric, you will be responsible for reviewing all corporate and branch expense invoices and following proper methods and procedures to ensure they are paid in a timely manner. In addition, you will leverage your excellent customer service acumen to communicate with external vendors and internal managers regarding all aspects of the AP process.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Process all Petty Cash requests and balance petty cash ledger quarterly.
Enters SPJR credits in the system and maintains SPJR log for monthly inventory reconciliation
Final authority for all expense reporting submissions ensuring company policies and procedures are followed. Serve as the main point of contact for all expense questions.
Receives and reviews payables invoices after ascertaining their accuracy.
Performs data entry of payables information and work queues to complete payment of invoices.
Contacts vendors and branches to resolve billing discrepancies and other problems related to delivery of goods.
Build professional relationships with internal customers and vendors to provide superior customer service.
Audits incomplete purchase orders.
Coordinate weekly check run, run check selection report, pull invoices, print and mail checks.
Communicate with branches, vendors and other departments on discrepancies with payables via phone, email, fax and trackers.
Reconcile vendor statements and update vendor maintenance records.
Assist with answering telephone inquiries; taking messages; filing; photocopying and typing correspondence as needed.
SKILLS:
Outstanding customer service and organizational skills
Computer Skills: Proficient computer skills such as Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Working knowledge of Eclipse is preferred.
Knowledge of basic mathematics. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide mathematical figures.
