    Software Engineer Intern Job Summary: The Software Engineer Intern

    will develop software and implement processes to meet various business goals. He or she will be a member of one of our software development teams, where they will have a chance to work with and learn from experienced software engineers and analysts. This internship is year-round, accommodating a part-time schedule during the school year and a full-time schedule during school breaks and summer. Essential Job Functions and Leadership Responsibilities: * Develop Business Software (50%) * Design and build software for current business projects * Work in an agile team environment to complete projects * Develop Infrastructure Software (20%) * Build tools to support mission critical IT systems * Work with other Technology departments to improve operational performance * Support (10%) * Find and fix bugs in released software * Own the technical details of specific software * Research (10%) * Research new technologies * Work on innovative solutions for business problems * Expand Development Knowledge (10%) * Work with other Software Engineers to develop a better understanding of software technologies Minimum Qualifications: * Enrolled in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering degree program * Demonstrated basic software development skills * Detail oriented * Demonstrated use of effective problem solving skills * Flexible * Able to work approximately 20 hours during the school year and full time during the summer Competencies * Approachability * Peer Relationships * Customer Focus * Integrity and Trust * Functional/Technical Skills * Priority Setting * Personal Learning * Drive for Result **Primary Location: **WI-Milwaukee **Work Locations: ** **Organization: **Direct Supply, Inc. **Schedule: **Part-time
