  • Responsibilities

    PRIMARY DUTIES:

    • Collect Data from Suppliers based on different department requests to optimize projects.
    • Organize Data in the format needed by each department to maximize efficiency.
    • Create tracking to help provide leadership with milestone reporting.
    • Conduct regular cadence calls with suppliers to ensure tasks and needs are being met.
    • Attend branch/company meetings and events as required. Overnight travel may be necessary.
    • Own systemic engagement and coordination of product marketing activity.
    • Ensure the co-op management team has all the necessary funding approvals for marketing activity.
    • Provide status reporting and postmortem analysis.
    • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
    • Uphold the values of the company and its culture, consistently demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and the highest standards of ethical behavior and professional conduct.
    • Support company goals and objectives.
    • Adhere to all safety policies.
    • Maintain housekeeping, as needed.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    None.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, to branches, company training, and vendor activities which will require frequent overnight stays.
    • Must have good interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
    • Must be analytical, able to solve problems, create solutions, be cost-conscious, be a strategic thinker, and be able to adapt as the situation requires.
    • Must be proficient in the operation of a personal computer and proficient in operating the various components of Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel and Word.
    • Ability to gather and evaluate data.
    • Experience with Eclipse operating system is a plus.
    • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily.

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; and three years of product category industry experience (purchasing, sales, or marketing), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • 3+ years of experience within the electrical distribution industry, working for either a manufacturer or an electrical distributor, preferred.

    COMMUNICATION & INFLUENCE: Ability to communicate and influence both directly and cross-functionally, in writing and orally in multiple venues; presentations, advertisements, articles, emails, etc. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

    CREATIVITY: Ability to see things in a new way, set aside any assumptions or biases, and think “outside of the box”. Able to use lateral thinking to perceive patterns that are not obvious. Shares a fresh, and sometimes unorthodox, perspective.

    NEGOTIATIONS AND MEDIATION: Strong negotiation skills are needed. Proven ability to facilitate negotiations across multiple parties and drive to a successful resolution.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:

    Valid driver’s license.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • Occasionally standing, climbing/balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling is required. Often walking or reaching with hands and arms is required. Most of the time sitting, using hands to finger or handle, and talking or hearing are required.
    • Frequent lifting up to 10 pounds.
    • Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less) with the ability to read computer monitors.
    • May be required to work more than 40 hours per week.
