Such activities may include the following as well as other duties as assigned: Essential Duties & Responsibilities Required Principal Responsibilities:Directs and manages the supplier business plan and implementation process throughout the Tech Data organization leveraging supplier strengths and resources on behalf of the supplier and communicating supplier benefits to the Tech Data organizations.Aligns goals and objectives of supplier with Tech Data to ensure mutual goals and objectives are achieved.Determines, monitors and recommends plans for the supplier, Tech Data business relationship on a tactical and strategic level.Participates in supplier business reviews providing appropriate data and engaging in resolving issues.Identifies and drives new supplier opportunities with particular emphasis on the development of new services that blend unique supplier resource/capability along with an Tech Data service/capability to create a unique value proposition.Supports cross functional communication with Tech Data's product groups in price negotiations and market knowledge.Responsible for the management of activities and programs that will drive the suppliers pro-forma performance in an effort to achieve Tech Data's financial goals.Performs analysis and reports of various program impact for the supplier. Manages forecasting pipeline requirements and rebate projections.Job Level Specifications:Thorough knowledge and frequent application of technical standards, principles, concepts and techniques.Develops solutions to a wide variety of problem and works on projects requiring evaluation and analysis.Applies technical knowledge, concepts or theories when determining which solutions are best applied.Work is performed independently requiring judgment and discretion.May receive limited guidance for new assignments.Work may be reviewed for overall technical adequacy.Interacts mostly with internal company contacts.May represents department across organization or externally on projects.Actions impact the completion of milestones within a project.Failure to accomplish work or erroneous decisions may result in delays to portions of a project and allocation of additional resources to remedy.
