    📍 Location: Frederick County 🕒 Job Type: Full-time / Part-time 💰 Salary Range: $20 - $25 per hour 🎯 Experience Required: 1-2 years working with youth or behavioral health

    About the Role:

    Wise Minds Therapeutic Services is seeking committed and compassionate 1:1 Support Staff to provide individualized behavioral and emotional support for youth in out-of-home care across Frederick County. Based in or near Frederick City, this position involves working one-on-one with youth in homes, schools, and community settings.

    This is a state-funded role under the Maryland Department of Human Services (DHS), requiring trauma-informed practices and structured behavior support.

    Key Responsibilities:

    ✔️ Supervise and support youth on a 1:1 basis ✔️ Utilize de-escalation and positive behavior reinforcement techniques ✔️ Support youth in daily activities and social/emotional growth ✔️ Maintain timely documentation of services provided ✔️ Follow all mandated reporting and child safety protocols

    Requirements:

    🔹 21+ years old with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation 🔹 High School Diploma/GED + 2 years experience OR Associate’s degree + 1 year in human services 🔹 Must pass background check and fingerprinting 🔹 Flexible availability, including some evenings/weekends

    📚 Required Training (Upon Hire):

    🟢 Preferred at time of hire, but required during onboarding:

    CPR and First Aid

    Crisis Prevention & De-escalation (e.g., CPI)

    Mandated Reporter Training

    Trauma-Informed Care

    HIPAA / Confidentiality

    DHS Orientation

    Wise Minds will provide or reimburse required trainings if needed.

    🔁 Ongoing Training Requirement:

    All staff must complete two (2) in-service trainings annually, including:

    Child Safety

    Youth Engagement Strategies

    Executive Skills Coaching

    De-escalation Practices
