📍 Location: Washington County 🕒 Job Type: Full-time / Part-time 💰 Salary Range: $20 - $25 per hour 🎯 Experience Required: 1-2 years working with youth or behavioral health

About the Role:

Wise Minds Therapeutic Services is seeking compassionate 1:1 Support Staff to serve youth in out-of-home care throughout Washington County. Based in or around Hagerstown, this role involves working in homes, schools, and community environments to provide behavioral coaching, emotional support, and supervision to youth referred by DHS.

This is a contract-funded position under the Maryland Department of Human Services (DHS) that requires flexibility, reliability, and trauma-informed care principles.

Key Responsibilities:

✔️ Supervise and support youth on a 1:1 basis ✔️ Use de-escalation strategies and behavioral redirection ✔️ Support social engagement, emotional regulation, and safety ✔️ Maintain accurate service documentation and reporting ✔️ Ensure compliance with mandated reporting standards

Requirements:

🔹 21+ years old with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation 🔹 High School Diploma/GED + 2 years experience OR Associate’s degree + 1 year in human services 🔹 Must pass background check and fingerprint screening 🔹 Available for flexible scheduling, including evenings/weekends

📚 Required Training (Upon Hire):

🟢 Preferred at time of hire, but required post-onboarding:

CPR and First Aid

Crisis Prevention & De-escalation (e.g., CPI)

Mandated Reporter Training

Trauma-Informed Care

HIPAA / Confidentiality Compliance

DHS Orientation & Onboarding

We provide access to required trainings if not already certified.

🔁 Ongoing Training Requirement:

Staff must complete two (2) in-service trainings annually, including:

Child Safety

Youth Engagement

Executive Skills Coaching

De-escalation Techniques
