We are seeking an experienced Contents Restoration Operations Manager to join our team. Do you want to make a difference at your job? Do you have an interest in helping to build out a team? Do you want to show up each day and work with a crew who can have fun while working hard and helping others? Come work with us at 1-800-Packouts! We’re looking for candidates in the Northern New Jersey area who really care and want to be part of a growing team!
Who are we? Known as The National Packout Company, 1-800-Packouts has proven to be the unified front in the personal property insurance industry, setting the bar. From the Corporate Leadership to our Franchise Owners across the U.S., 1-800-Packouts is comprised of some of the most experienced names in the Contents Industry.
What is a Packout? When someone suffers a loss to their property (think fire, water, or storm damage) we are there to carefully pack up all their belongings, inventory with pictures, clean them if needed, and store them in our climate-controlled warehouse until they are ready to return, helping to get their lives back to normal.
Why us? Our greatest strength is our people and we view our team as a family of individuals united in the common purpose of serving the community in its time of need. As a rapidly expanding member of the national franchise system, we will offer career advancement opportunities for those that have strong desires for personal and professional development. As the team continues to expand, we will look to promote from within.
What will you do?
Your role will be a dynamic one, shifting with the needs of the day, which could be in the field or in the office.
You will be responsible for working with property owners, insurance adjusters, and sub-contractors, building relationships with each party that allow you to be a trustworthy, reliable contact to address the situation at hand.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will also include travel in our trucks and vans to our customers’ houses and businesses who have suffered a loss.
You will supervise a team of 2-4 Technicians to inventory items, pack them with care, and transport the contents back to our warehouse for storage.
Depending on the loss, the environment can be challenging, but we provide all the necessary equipment for you to do your job well (PPE, gloves, lights, dollies, moving straps etc.).
Sometimes the content will need to be cleaned before storage. You will supervise the cleaning process completed on site and/or at our warehouse, using proven cleaning methods, ultrasonic tanks, and deodorization rooms to restore the items to their pre-loss condition.
