ENTRY TO MID-LEVEL POSITION. GREAT FOOT-IN-THE-DOOR TO THE TRANSPORTATION INDUSTRY!

POSITION OVERVIEW: The DRIVER COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST will work closely with our Safety and Compliance Managers and will interact daily with employees and departmental managers across the country.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Process, verify, audit, and maintain e-Logs and paper logs including device training for drivers and dispatchers
• Compile and prepare reports and documents pertaining to safety and compliance activities
• Complete DOT verifications of employment for 3rd party vendors
• Process driver medical card updates
• Troubleshoot postal ID badge issues acting as a liaison for USPS
• Maintain driver DOT qualification documents
• Review driver applicant qualification documents
• General administrative duties

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and database programs
• 1 year of administrative experience in a fast-paced environment
• 1 year of customer service experience
• Must be organized, detail-oriented and able to multi-task and prioritize work
• Must be able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing
• Must be able to exercise discretion when dealing with sensitive issues

EXPERIENCE STRONGLY PREFERRED:

• Prior experience working in DOT Safety and/or Compliance
• Familiarity with the trucking industry and an understanding of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
• Prior experience working in Human Resources
