Job Description – Chiropractic Assistant
Training and Certification Employee will receive training required to perform chiropractic assistant services. If Employee will take x-rays, then Employee has complied with the certification requirements of the state of Oklahoma.
Physical Requirements Able to stand for long periods of time (up to 8 hours per day) Able to work at a computer screen for longs periods of time
Able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds Able to lift arms above shoulder level and head Able to bend over at the waist, lean down to touch the floor, lay on the floor, kneel on the floor Able to climb a small ladder
Job Responsibilities Answer the phone at the clinic Greet patients when they enter the clinic Schedule patient appointments Explain fees to patients and accept payment Perform data entry in the clinic’s computer systems Describe products available for purchase at the clinic and process payment for same Keep patient files up to date and enter SOAP notes promptly Assist chiropractors during chiropractic treatments Position patients for x-rays If certified to do so, take x-rays of patients Record the patient’s vital signs and medical history Comply with all 100% system requirements Provide patient education and demonstrate exercises (show traction, wobble exercises, fit-ball exercises) Stocking and receiving supplies Play with and/or carry babies and small children Maintain a clean and sanitary clinic Attend one (1) Tribes meeting per year Attend Tuesday meetings Perform audits on patient’s accounts and send statements to collect outstanding balances Order supplies for the office such as supplements, massage room, adjusting room, and beverage center Correspond with Attorneys or Auto Insurance companies on a patient’s auto accident claim
