Job Description

We are seeking a Clarion Developer / Programmer to become an integral part of our team! You will be responsible for creating and modifying computer application software or specialized utility programs. We are also able to provide training for the Clarion language as long as you have a strong background in programming.

Our software products are centered around financial reporting of business tax information returns, such as 1099, W-2, 1042-S, and ACA 1095 tax forms. We provide different products, for each tax form series previously listed, that allow our customers to manage their business information returns year round and offer in-house or outsourced, to our secure Service Bureau, options for printing, mailing, electronically filing, and general reporting of their business information returns to the IRS, SSA, and states.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with Clarion 10+ IDE and an MS SQL back-end to update software products
• Analyze user needs and develop software solutions
• Work with project manager or product owner to meet specification needs
• Recommend software upgrades to optimize operational efficiency
• Collaborate with other developers to design and optimize code
• Create flowcharts and user guides for new and existing programs
• Document all programming tasks and procedures
• Perform routine software maintenance

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience in software development, computer engineering, or other related fields
• Knowledge of Clarion, C#/VB, ASP.Net, or other programming languages
• Specific knowledge of at least Clarion or C#/VB with a willingness to learn the other language
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
• Experience with writing queries for MS SQL
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Detail oriented
• Must pass background check

SUPPLEMENTARY EXPERIENCE (NOT REQUIRED):

• Informational tax reporting knowledge (1099, W-2, 1042-S, ACA 1095, FATCA)
