    Role: Safety Manager

    Location: Washington DC

    We are looking for a Safety Manager to join our client's team, a multi-billion dollar commercial construction company responsible for some of the largest projects in the DC/Baltimore area. The ideal candidate must have 5 or more years of experience creating, implementing and managing safety plans within the commercial construction industry.  Strong knowledge of high value projects is strongly preferred.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards.
    • Investigate accidents and incidents, and implement corrective actions.
    • Provide safety training to employees and subcontractors.
    • Mentor other Safety Professionals within the organization.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field (preferred).
    • CHST certification is required, CSP certification is preferred.
    • At least 5-7 years of industry experience in commercial construction.
    • Knowledge of high-value, ground-up construction projects.
    • Experience creating and implementing Accident Prevention Plans.
    • Strong leadership and communication skills.
    • EM 385 1-1 Certification and knowledge of safety standards within a federal construction setting is a plus.
    • Ability to travel throughout the DC metropolitan area is required including Northern Virginia, Maryland, and downtown DC.
