Job Description

Based on the requirements of our government contracts, YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN AND HAVE OR BE ABLE TO OBTAIN A SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE.  This position is ON-SITE, located in Huntsville, AL. 

Primary work involves analyzing, processing, and cataloguing geospatial data making it suitable for processing by artificial intelligence (AI) models. A successful candidate will work with our data science team to facilitate processing capabilities by improving the corpus of data for AI applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following tasks:

• Follow standards for analyzing, processing, and cataloguing geospatial data for AI applications
• Conduct geospatial analysis and create analysis products to support AI model development
• Improve and maintain existing science workflows and procedures
• Facilitate the incorporation of data, models, and software into customer lab environments

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

• Strong computer skills and experience with GIS software – ArcGIS or QGIS
• Strong Linux skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in an office environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Willingness to learn

DESIRED SKILLS: 

• Experience working with git and Visual Studio Code
• Experience working in SCRUM environment
• Experience with Python 3

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
• US Citizenship required

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, Geosciences, or similar
