    Job Summary

    We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join the first-shift manufacturing team. This position is ideal for a hands-on machinist who is comfortable operating CNC mills and lathes and has experience with grinding and manual machining.  The role involves primarily repetitive production machining with limited changeovers. The ideal candidate will be capable of making minor CNC program edits and adjustments at the machine, troubleshooting machining issues, and maintaining tight dimensional accuracy.  Strong CNC turning/lathe experience, Mazak experience, and OD grinding experience are particularly valuable.

    Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with approximately 6–10 hours of overtime per week based on workload and occasional Saturday overtime.

    Responsibilities

    • Operate CNC mills, CNC lathes, grinders, and other machining equipment.
    • Perform both CNC milling and turning operations.
    • Set up and operate equipment for repetitive production machining.
    • Make minor G-code/M-code edits and program adjustments at the machine.
    • Troubleshoot machining issues and make appropriate process adjustments.
    • Perform OD grinding and related grinding operations.
    • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical diagrams.
    • Use precision measuring instruments, including micrometers and calipers.
    • Perform manual machining operations as needed.
    • Maintain quality and dimensional accuracy throughout the machining process.
    • Follow established production, safety, and quality procedures.

    Requirements

    • Minimum 3 years of professional machining experience; 5+ years preferred.
    • Experience operating both CNC mills and CNC lathes.
    • Demonstrated ability to make basic CNC program edits and adjustments.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
    • Proficiency using precision measurement equipment, including micrometers and calipers.
    • Experience with grinding, particularly OD grinding.
    • Ability to troubleshoot machining and dimensional issues.
    • Stable employment history with a demonstrated commitment to previous employers.

    Preferred Requirements

    • Strong CNC lathe/turning experience.
    • Experience with Mazak CNC equipment.
    • Significant OD grinding experience.
    • ID grinding experience.
    • Manual machining experience.
    • Experience with conversational CNC programming.
    • CAD/CAM programming or editing experience.
    • Experience with BobCAD/CAM.
    • Ability to perform more advanced CNC programming is a plus, but not required for a strong machinist with solid machine-side programming/editing skills.

    Compensation / Benefits

    • $30–$35 per hour target compensation range.
    • Candidates with exceptional experience and capabilities may be considered above the target range.
    • First-shift schedule: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM.
    • Approximately 6–10 hours of overtime per week, depending on workload.
    • Occasional Saturday overtime opportunities.
