    1st Shift Shipping & Receiving Operator

    Location: Waukesha, WI Pay Rate: $19.00 - $20.00/hour Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Terms: Temp-to-Hire Job ID Number: 1400

    This crucial role within our Order Fulfillment Process focuses on the precise preparation of shipments and meticulous documentation to ensure complete customer satisfaction.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Shipment Preparation: Securely package, schedule, and prepare records for all outgoing goods.

    • Documentation: Create bills of lading, post weight and shipping charges, and maintain accurate shipping records.

    • Receiving: Efficiently receive incoming shipments, verify correctness against documentation (bills of lading, invoices), record goods received, and promptly report any damages or shortages.

    • Internal Logistics: Route goods to their proper departments and receive finished goods into inventory as needed for daily shipments.

    • **Inventory & Data Management:**Utilize barcode readers, computer terminals, and other electronic devices for inventory management.

    • Material Handling: Handle materials, ensuring timely shipments by using shipping and customer order reports.

    • **Quality & Compliance:**Confirm correct quantities against work orders or packing slips. Prepare comprehensive shipping documentation, including packing lists, labels, hazardous certifications, and certificates of compliance. Maintain required hazardous shipment certification training.

    • Packaging Excellence: Ensure products are packed in a timely manner and protected from damage, adhering to customer specifications or internal guidelines.

    • Forklift Operation: Operate a forklift as needed, provided you are certified through The Gund Company.
