Analytical R &D/Automation Intern Overview

The Analytical R&D/Automation Intern will work directly with scientists in the Small Molecule CMC Early Phase Team (Analytical R&D) to develop, optimize, and implement novel automated sample processing workflows using a newly acquired liquid handling system. Successful completion of responsibilities will enable automated stability and forced degradation analyses of small molecule APIs which will significantly improve efficiency, reproducibility, and throughput to better evaluate and progress more drug candidates from Discovery to First-In-Human.

Key responsibilities include:

• Operation of analytical instrumentation (i.e., liquid chromatography) and automated systems (i.e., liquid handler).

• Preparation of samples consisting of real drug candidates and various buffers/solutions for analytical testing.

• Acquisition of chromatographic data and analysis of results to evaluate new automated methods.

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacology, or other related field.

• Must be enrolled in university for at least one semester following the internship.

• Expected graduation date between December 2024 - July 2025 .

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to general laboratory practices, liquid chromatography, automated systems, and sample/solution preparations.

• The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

• The salary range is: (minimum: $68,182.40 to maximum: $101,420.80)
