    Northrop Grumman is seeking Structural Engineers. This position will be located at our Defense Systems Sector in Clearfield, UT.

    The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Tactical Air Systems Operating Unit.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Designs, researches, and develops engineering specifications for metallic, non-metallic, and composite structures in all phases of the product life cycle from preliminary design to sustainment.
    • Design could include 2D and 3D model based engineering for detailed parts and assemblies.
    • Fundamental understanding of GD&T.
    • Design will be performed utilizing software packages such as NX, TeamCenter, and Fibersim.
    • Excellent communication and people skills required to work with key stakeholders within other engineering disciplines, including but not limited to system engineering and structural analysis, for capturing all engineering requirements needed for the design and to achieve program objectives in a timely manner.
    • Critical thinking and personal organizational skills required to capture and complete a design that meets all engineering requirements.

    Basic Qualifications:

    A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

    Associate Engineer Structural:

    • Be completing or has completed their Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited institution.
    • Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

    Engineer Structural:

    • Be completing or has completed their Master’s or PhD degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited institution.
    • Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher
    • Demonstrate the ability to provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex, difficult problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives.
    • Experience developing technical solutions to engineering problems through applicable internships, projects, or school activities/clubs.

    Salary Range:

    Level 1: $62,200 - $93,400

    Level 2: $75,300 - $112,900
