    Northrop Grumman is seeking a product support intern for an internship opportunity for our Product Support team within the Product Support Department. This project management position provides exposure opportunities with the program office as well as across functional departments within the company in support of program execution.

    This position will be located at our Mission Systems Sector in Rolling Meadows, IL. This p osition is hybrid with option to work remotely or on site. The candidate will be required to come into the office as needed to support business needs. Candidates must reside near the Rolling Meadows site during the duration of the internship to be considered for this role.

    The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Navigation, Targeting & Su-rvivability(NT&S) Division.

    Specific duties will include:

    • Support Program Office, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Contracts, and Mission Assurance on Product Support aspects of the program to ensure all program goals are met

    • Support development, production, and/or sustainment planning & execution

    • Support project management of Product Support content, Earned Value (cost & schedule), and quality requirements. Support the management of Product Support program deliverables to ensure on-time compliance.

    • May include tracking and managing hardware across programs

    • Support and respond to customer needs

    Basic Qualifications

    A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

    • Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2024.

    • Be majoring in or having majored in Project Management, Business Administration, Business Management, Finance, Accounting, Economics, International Business, or closely related discipline.

    • Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2024.

    • Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

    • The ability to obtain Special Access Program within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs

    • The ability to develop problem resolutions to simple technical challenges

    • The ability to support communication with cross-functional team

    • Must be familiar with using Excel and PowerPoint

    • May develop and deliver presentations to small groups

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher.

    • Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, good understanding of Excel including creating reports, spreadsheets, and tables and proficient in manipulating data and formats of spreadsheets, excellent communication, detail oriented and have the ability to follow processes.

    Intern Pay Range:

    • Bachelor’s: $21.00 to $25.75 per hour

    • Master’s: $31.00 to $33.00 per hour

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

    Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
