We are looking for an innovative and creative Summer Intern to join the Global Inclusion & Diversity (GI&D) team to support the Disability Advancement Workplace Network (DAWN) People and Business Resource Group (PBRG). PBRGs are company-sanctioned groups that align around a common dimension of diversity to provide business, educational and cultural insights to drive business results. PBRGs are a transformative business model designed to harness the passion, business insights, and experiences of our global workforce to drive business results, enhance workforce engagement, support external reputation and community responsibility, and provide career development opportunities for PBRG members. PBRGs fall under the Global Inclusion & Diversity (GI&D) Team’s responsibility and operate through the GI&D’s strategic three-pillar framework: Patients & Communities, Colleagues, and Business & Industry. The DAWN Summer Intern performs a wide range of complex administrative duties in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. The DAWN Summer Intern is responsible for activities in accordance with BMS policies, standards, and procedures in support of GI&D strategy. In addition, they will plan, coordinate and execute events utilizing relationships built with internal and external constituents/stakeholders. The Summer Intern will assist with multiple assignments/projects to support business needs.
Additional activities to be added as needed to support the new content which will need to be managed while archiving old content according to BMS processes.

Key Responsibilities:
• Independently organize multiple processes, procedures, or programs in support of the team.
• Facilitate multiple projects, prioritize competing demands and requests and taking initiative to adjust or change priorities as needed.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes within the team.
• Demonstrate a positive work attitude, strong interpersonal skills and develop relationships with peers.
• Manages confidential information with discretion.
• Supports the receiving and inventorying of documentation.
• Be a creative thinker with great attention to detail.
• The individual must be highly proficient in all standard computer applications, including Microsoft and Adobe applications.
• Create a template document “package” for events that include best practices and playbooks.
• Develop new DAWN onboarding training materials.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program (graduation date 2025 or 2026). Minimum GPA 3.0.
• English, Public Relations, Diversity & Inclusion, Health Equity Majors/Minors highly desirable.
• General knowledge of filtering in Excel and using multiple source documents to compare and consolidate.
• Comfortable with asking questions if unsure of instruction or direction.
• Capable of make suggestions and recommendations on how to manage their workload and key deliverables.
• Hybrid role; on site 50% of time.
• Skilled in planning and organizing, decision-making, and building relationships.
• Contributes to the goals within the work group.
• Teamwork and ability to work effectively across functional groups and teams to ensure requirements are met.
• Candidates must be a US citizen, have a lawful permanent resident of the US or otherwise authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
