    1st Edge is seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our team. In this position, you will play a vital role in developing and maintaining data management systems for the Missile Defense Agency. You will be instrumental in assisting the agency with identifying, collecting, analyzing, archiving, controlling, and distributing missile defense System data. Work will be performed on, and include updating, the infrastructure for the Agency IT / Data ecosystem.

    Required qualifications:

    • 3+ years of experience working in dynamic data collection, analysis, and distribution environment

    • This an on-site position working full time in a DoD facility on Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL

    • You must be a U.S. Citizen

    • Active DoD security clearance required

    • Bachelor of Science/Engineering degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math discipline

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following tasks:

    • Execute a streamlined data management approach to identify, retain, and distribute Missile Defense System test data to support fielding decisions

    • Ensure that data is collected and reviewed within established time frames and in accordance with prescribed standards of quality

    • Address technical or administrative issues associated with data collection and dissemination

    • Use standard data collection tools to analyze incoming data and review reports and surveys from data collection systems

    • Review data for quality, accuracy, completeness, and consistency

    • Conduct detailed coordination and data collection planning with test participants to meet critical distribution timelines and document details in accordance with the Integrated Data Management Plan

    • Extract specific data elements from databases and analyzes that data under supervision using appropriate software

    • Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and weapon system program stakeholders to develop data requirements and coordinate data release approvals

    • Manage/transfer/distribute expedited data to quick-look (QL) analysts (on-site analysis locations)

    • Work as member of an integrated data management team that leverages personnel and materiel efficiencies across multiple efforts

    • Authenticate data recipient security requirements (clearance, Need-To-Know)

    • Be part of a team providing 24-hour distribution services for quick-look data collection and distribution during test event execution windows

    • Execute/manage high volume data distribution requirements via file transfer, SIPRNet, mail, courier

    • Identify and test data collection requirements IAW approved HW/SW configurations & procedures

    Desired qualifications:

    • Experience with transitioning from on-site data storage and distribution systems to cloud based solutions leveraging data lakes and data warehouse technologies

    • Experience with monitoring and tracking data deliveries using various media and transmission formats and report status

    • Knowledge of missile defense system test planning, execution, and analysis process
