Job Description
Position Overview:
The Baker, working an afternoon to evening shift , is responsible for preparing, baking, and ensuring the quality of a variety of baked goods in compliance with USDA Child Nutrition Program standards and school food service guidelines. This role requires an individual who can work independently during afternoon and evening shifts, producing fresh, nutritious baked goods that meet the needs of students, staff, and school events.

KIPP NYC offers a competitive hourly rate of $20–$25 for the Baker position. Hourly ranges at KIPP NYC are standardized by role level and function, and individual rates are determined with an equity lens, taking into account years of relevant experience.

This role is based in NYC and will require travel to our schools. If you relocate outside of a commutable distance or out of the state of NY, your employment will be subject to review, which may include separation from KIPP NYC. You must notify HR if you move or have plans to relocate.
