Seasonal | Volunteer Position
The STRIDE program provides adaptive Snowsports instruction, giving individuals with special needs the chance to enjoy the mountain and build confidence on snow. As a STRIDE Instructor, you’ll play a meaningful role in creating unforgettable experiences by sharing your passion for skiing or snowboarding in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Teach and support adaptive Snowsports lessons with clarity, positivity, and enthusiasm
- Maintain a safe, welcoming, and fun learning environment for all participants
- Approach all assignments with professionalism and energy
- Represent both Jiminy Peak and STRIDE by being knowledgeable, professional, and guest-focused
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance in uniform (helmet, jacket, and name tag required)
- Uphold Jiminy Peak and STRIDE’s mission, vision, and core values
- Be punctual and reliable, committing to at least one day per week throughout the season
- Complete STRIDE’s required training and adhere to all program guidelines
Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Able to ski confidently at an intermediate (“blue square”) level or higher
- Reliable transportation required
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs
- Must submit to a Criminal Background Check (CORI)
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
