  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    Key Co-op Responsibilities:
    • Assist in the development of machine concepts and technical solutions for automotive sector requirements.
    • Support engineering projects through various phases, including initial concept, design, build, and
    commissioning.
    • Help prepare and present technical concepts and system architectures to support project discussions.
    • Contribute to the coordination of multidisciplinary engineering teams (mechanical, electrical, controls,
    manufacturing).
    • Support the tracking of technical scope, requirements, risks, schedules, and project deliverables.
    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for engineering standards and processes.
    • Potentially assist with on-site activities such as customer meetings, trials, and commissioning.

    Preferred Skills:
    • Previous coursework or project experience related to controls, automation, or mechatronics.
    • Understanding of the automotive industry or manufacturing processes.
    • Experience with CAD software (e.g. Autodesk inventor, AutoCAD), PLC programming, or HMI design.
    • Any prior internship or co-op experience in an industrial setting.
    • A curious mindset and a proactive approach to learning.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:
    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Automation, or a related
    discipline).
    • Strong interest in special machinery, industrial automation, or manufacturing systems, particularly within the
    automotive industry.
    • Familiarity with engineering principles, concept development, and system-level thinking.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
