About Us:21st Century Charter School at Gary is a free K-12 public charter school. We are building a team of excellence. We are the top performing charter school in Gary, Indiana. REPORTS TO/TERM:
Principal
This is a part-time position. (no more than 28 hours weekly)
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or higher
Maintains a valid Indiana driver’s license
Maintains a valid Indiana CDL
Sincere desire to work in a diverse K-12 school environment and make a difference in the lives of our students and their families
Experience driving student bus
Excellent driving record
Be able to work a flexible schedule
Must complete State Police Background check
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
A Bus Driver is required to perform the following duties:
Work with school leadership to coordinate bus routes
Follow all traffic and safety laws
Oversee bus maintenance
Keep the bus clean and free from trash daily
Keep the bus fueled and ready for service
Report student disciplinary issues to school leadership
Follow school policy regarding student discipline
Provide on-sight student supervision
Attend appropriate staff meetings and Professional Development opportunities as directed by the Principal
Follow the school’s policies and procedures.
Perform other duties, as deemed appropriate, by the Principal
