Shifts: 12 hrs., 6:45-7:15, schedules made out about 2-3 weeks ahead of time initially and then they try to schedule them out 9 weeks in advance, self-scheduling for the most part.

Unit Notes:

Telemetry, L/D, Emergency and Critical Care RN's will take a proctored Dysrhythmia Test onsite, day one. This is a PASS/FAIL test.

Unit: IMCU (2 West) - # beds: 30 beds.

Certs: ACLS, BLS - Ratios: 1 to 3-4 - EMR: Cerner.

Charge Nurse: one charge nurse for all 74 beds (2 West, 4West, and 2 central).

Nurse Aides: 3 nurse aides to cover all 74 beds of these three units.

Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule, Days - Sat/Sun, - Nights - Fri/Sat - Holidays: Work into perm staff rotation.

Scrub Color: navy.

Tele: phillips - they do have monitor tech, nurses must be able to read and interpret, will have to take dysrhythmia exam.

Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: yes - IV Team: no - RT 24/7: yes - Pharmacy 24/7: yes.

** Must have 2-3 years' experience in specialty, they are open to first time travelers, it is a very busy unit with a lot of quick turnovers, they stress the patient experience on the unit, and they want someone who knows and understands HCAHPS and core measures and someone will be invested in their mission and values, also important the traveler is self-motivated and team oriented, they are very traveler friendly.**
