Need: Psych RN

Location: Huntington

Length of Contract: 26 weeks

Target start date: 4/24 or 5/8

Orientation: Orientation takes place every other Monday.

State Hospital orientation is 2-3 weeks long, M-F. Then you will work your preceptor’s schedule for 40 hours before going on your own shift.

Huntington Shifts:

• During the weekdays, only night shift is available: 10:45pm - 7:15am
• Weekend & Holidays shift could be any of the following shifts, or 12 HR shifts/doubles 6:45am - 3:15pm, 2:45pm - 11:15pm, 10:45pm - 7:15am

  OT! OT! OT!Must be open to working up to 20 hours of OT each week. Mandation is a possibility.

  Local Pay:(commuting to work) $85/HR; OT $127.50 taxed

  $3,060/week working 36 hours or $3,400/week working 40 hours gross

  OT: $4,420/week gross working 48 hours

  Travel Pay:(live over 50 miles and getting housing near the assignment)

  $90/hr blended rate; OT over 40 hrs $132/hr taxed

  $3,240/week working 36 hours or $3,600/week working 40 hours gross

  OT: $4,656/week gross working 48 hours

  Hourly breakdown:

  $90/hr blended rate of taxed and housing stipends/per diem

  Taxed:$62.53

  \+ Stipends/Per Diem: $27.47 (Stipends $17.15 + Per diem: $10.32)

  =$90 Blended of Taxed and Stipends/Per Diem

  ITEMS FOR PROFILE:

  • Resume (ensure it is current)
  • Length of contract: 26 weeks
  • Start Date:
    • Time off will not be granted for the initial contract. Time off is granted for extensions. If something comes up, you may request it with the facility directly. Time off will not be listed in your offer letter. New contractors can not ask for holidays off.
  • Two Manager References from separate facilities, please include their title and facility
  • Copy of your BLS from AHA (if yours recently expired, it can be renewed at facility)
  • COVID Immunization card (if you have one)
  • Availability for phone interview with nurse manager

    Once hired we will ask for: (if you have it readily available, go ahead and send these items as well, it will expedite the process)

  • 2 step PPD or Tspot from within the last year
    • Immunizations: Terra Alta/Weston requires Hep B titers or declination, MMR and Var titer or declination, and flu shot if flu season. Huntington requires vaccine or titers for Hep B, Tdap, MMR and Varicella from within last 2-3 years- declinations not accepted;
  • Copy of driver’s license and social security card
  • RN school transcript or diploma
  • We’ll need to schedule a drug screen as well as run a criminal background, WV Cares state clearance, and APS/CPS check
    • To your knowledge, would anything come up on the report? Misdemeanors? Probation? Protective services investigation? Etc.

      Mildred Mitchell Bateman Hospital in Huntington:

      110 bed facility; 5 units

      Facility does quarantine residents in a COVID unit when necessary
