25m Health is a first-of-its-kind healthtech venture studio in partnership LifePoint Health, Scion Health, and Apollo Global Management. We are focused on building companies from the ground up and investing in early-stage startups that offer innovative solutions to make communities healthier. Our platform marries an expansive clinical footprint and expertise with builders and operators to partner with aspiring entrepreneurs and startups to accelerate their path to market. 25m Health's in-house platform team, based in Nashville and New York City, spans engineering (full-stack, security, data science), strategy (fundraising, product, research), design (UI/UX, branding, marketing), and back-office (hiring, legal, accounting, tax). And, most importantly, scaling across LifePoint, Scion, and into the greater healthcare ecosystem.

The Role

The 25m Health Spring Fellowship (Feb – May 2024) mixes healthcare startup building, venture investing and portfolio company management, while offering exposure to senior executives at the firm, LifePoint Health, and others in our portfolio.

Who You Are

• Current MD Candidate or Medical Resident
• Deep knowledge in healthcare or digital health and a strong passion for developing solutions that can improve the lives of patients, clinicians, and healthcare workers
• Intellectually curious problem-solver who loves diving head-first into unfamiliar challenges
• Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments without the structure of a large organization
• Analytical thinker and a superb communicator – you can dig into the numbers and convey their findings through written and verbal communication
• Has experience at the intersection of healthcare startups, payor/provider enterprise systems, and VC in the past
• Gone deep with prospects, customers, users, partners, and anyone else in an ecosystem to understand problems and figure out solutions (quantitative and qualitative research, ideation, validation)
• Created solutions from scratch – turning research findings into vision, and vision into product
• Built competitive landscapes; defined points of differentiation; evaluated the value of products/features
• Minimum commitment of 20 hours/week preferred
• Ability to travel to our office in NYC 1-week/month preferred

What You'll do at 25m Health

• The Spring fellow will primarily support our incubation work, with some exposure to investment opportunities. Responsibilities will include:
• Help us identify, test, and iterate on our next cohort of incubated healthcare startups
• Execute on product-focused work with early-stage businesses
• Define product and go-to-market roadmaps for internally-incubated startups
• Conduct market and user research on new whitespaces and ideas
• Assist portfolio companies across a variety of functions, including marketing and customer acquisition, distribution, product development, user experience, fundraising, and more.

• How long will the program be?
  • Four months, February 2024 — May 2024. Start and end dates are flexible
• Will fellows be compensated?
  • Fellows will receive a competitive monthly stipend
• What is the time commitment for this program?
  • This is a part-time, but very involved, program. On average we expect ~20 hours per week but are flexible to your own schedule.
  • This program will be entirely virtual with the preference of someone who can work in-person in our NYC office 1 week/month.
• When is the deadline?

LifePoint Health is a leading healthcare company dedicated to Making Communities Healthier®. Through its subsidiaries, it provides quality inpatient, outpatient and post-acute services close to home. LifePoint owns and operates community hospitals, regional health systems, physician practices, outpatient centers and post-acute facilities across the country. LifePoint is owned by certain funds managed by affiliates of Apollo Global Management.

Target Annual Base Salary Range: $30-40 per hour. Final salary will be determined by the candidate's experience, knowledge, and skills. Salary reflected does not include equity, annual discretionary bonus, or other benefits offered by the Company, as applicable.
