    We are seeking a passionate and committed 2nd Grade Teacher to foster a nurturing, engaging, and academically enriching learning environment. The ideal candidate will deliver age-appropriate instruction in core subjects such as English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies, while supporting the social and emotional development of young learners.

    Responsibilities:

    Develop and implement lesson plans that meet academic standards and align with the school curriculum.

    Teach core subjects including reading, writing, math, science, and social studies with an emphasis on foundational literacy and numeracy skills.

    Assess student performance regularly using a variety of formal and informal tools; use data to differentiate instruction and address individual learning needs.

    Create a classroom environment that promotes respect, curiosity, and a love of learning.

    Establish and maintain clear behavioral expectations using positive reinforcement and classroom management strategies.

    Collaborate with fellow teachers, support staff, and school administrators to ensure student success.

    Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding academic progress, behavior, and classroom events.

    Participate in school events, professional development, and staff meetings.

    Maintain accurate records, including attendance, grades, and student portfolios.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field.

    Not required but preferred - a state teaching certification for Elementary Education (K–5 or appropriate grade level).

    Demonstrated knowledge of child development and age-appropriate instructional practices.

    Experience teaching in a classroom setting (preferably at the primary grade level).

    Strong classroom management skills and ability to build rapport with young students.

    Proficiency in using technology for instruction and record-keeping.

    Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom culture.
