This position is designed for a highly skilled orthopedic nurse case manager with strong technical skills. 2nd.MD leverages innovative technology to provide a concierge member/client? experience while removing many of the barriers and frustrations regularly experienced in healthcare. This case management job highlights nursing advocacy, education, and ongoing guidance and treatment decision support while providing virtual consults with world-renowned Expert Specialists. The 2nd.MD Experience provides patients with elite-level expertise that results in alternative diagnoses, improved up to date treatment plans, canceled surgeries and saved lives.
2nd.MD is a fast-growing leader in the telehealth space, providing virtual second opinions and treatment decision support to millions across the United States. The musculoskeletal program is rapidly expanding and 2nd.MD is looking for nurses with this type of expertise to join the team.
The Orthopedic Nurse Case Manager is responsible for delivering a meaningful concierge clinical experience to members/clients? from the point of the request, including treatment decision support, personalized local support, medical record review, and connecting members/clients? virtually with elite level Specialists on the 2nd.MD Expert Panel.
An ideal candidate will have expertise in the musculoskeletal area with knowledge of spine & joint pathology and related conservative and surgical interventions. Candidates must have excellent written and oral communication, a desire to learn, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic work environment along with proficiency in navigating through various technology platforms.

This is a full-time position, and general hours of work and days are Monday through Friday (8 hour work days) as agreed upon between manager and employee within the 7A-7P CST ‘open hours’
