SEEKING PROJECT CONTROLS ASSOCIATES TO TRAVEL TO VARIOUS JOB SITES THROUGHOUT THE LOS ANGELES AND ORANGE COUNTY.

Excellent direct opportunity – great pay and benefits! This position will be working with Project Managers and Superintendents and will be travelling to the various job sites supporting gas pipeline projects.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Establish Budgets from Estimate
• Set up tracking systems from templates in Excel
• Track and Analyze project cost & progress
• Cost and progress reports sent out weekly
• Create RFI’s and Maintain log
• Create Change Order estimates with input from PM & Superintendent
• Compile Change Order packages
• Attend various meetings with customers
• Subcontract management
• Assist with project forecast
• Assist with compiling documents for billing packages
• Work with PM to update project schedule
• Ensure committed costs for accuracy (committed vs. actual cost analysis)
• This position requires heavy driving

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred.
• 3 - 5 years’ experience in Cost Controls preferably in the oil & gas industry and/or a major utility industry
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Intermediate to Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel __
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• ABILITY TO TRAVEL ON SHORT NOTICE ACROSS LOS ANGELES AND ORANGE COUNTY AREAS.
• VARIABLE WORKING HOURS FROM 40 TO 60 HOURS A WEEK BASED ON PROJECT SCHEDULE
• MS Office Programs experience also required (i.e. Word, Outlook, Project, Power Point)
