  • Responsibilities

    SUMMARY:

    Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.

    • Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.

    • Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures.

    • Performs routine maintenance on building systems.

    • Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facility.

    • Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.

    • Maintain and upkeep tools according to safety regulations, as well as the proper working order for machine operator.

    • Perform equipment calibration and maintenance monitoring.

    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    • Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers.

    • Knowledge of general Hydraulics and electrical preferred

    • Proven ability to use hand tools and power tools.

    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

    • Conform to all safety standards of the company.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred, 3+ years as a maintenance tech in manufacturing environment preferred, or combination of education and experience.

    ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

    • Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers.
    • Knowledge of general Hydraulics and electrical preferred
    • Proven ability to use hand tools and power tools.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Possess advanced understanding of tool construction and operation.
    • Ability to maintain good communication and interpersonal skills.

    Tools Needed (preferred):

    • 1 Set Standard Open end Wrenches Sizes 7/16” to 1”
    • 1 Set Standard Allen Wrenches Sizes 5/64” to 3/8”
    • 1 Set Metric Allen Wrenches Sizes 2mm to 10mm
    • 1 Set Standard Screwdrivers
    • 1 Set Philips Screwdrivers
    • 1 ½” Drive 7/8”, ¾”, and 15/16” Sockets ( preferably star pattern )
    • 1 ½” Drive Torque Wrench
    • 1 ½” Drive Extendable Ratchet
    • 1 3/8” Drive Ratchet
    • 1 3/8” Drive 3/8” Allen Socket.
