  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Maintenance and optimization of development environments, including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and VMWare. 
    • Application platform and automation testing in both on-premises and cloud environments, including detailed tests and quality assurance certifications for various platforms and software updates.
    •  IT asset and licensing management and optimization
    • Develop, maintain and update technical documentation such as system configurations, procedures, fixes for common problems, and best practices.
    • Provide local and remote staff with troubleshooting and resolution instructions in order to resolve software problems and provide general assistance/support.
    • Resolution of support tickets in an agile environment

    This is a spring internship, with a possibility of extending to a summer internship. This internship is paid.

     

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in Computer Science is preferred.
    • Able to work 15-25 hours/ week during the Spring semester, from our Canton office
    • Interest in establishing a career in information technology.
    • Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems, Windows software applications, office automation, and web browsers.
    • Basic knowledge of relational database principals and SQL development.
    • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms is preferred, training can be made available from A Cloud Guru.
    • Ability to maintain and be responsible for company equipment such as notebooks, PDAs and mobile phones.
    • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
    • Superior customer service skills.
    • Must be detail oriented, and able to multi-task in order to meet standard response times and deadlines.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, other employees, and client staff.
