Our Core Values Are you seeing a crisis in education? At Lafayette Academy: A Classical School, supported by Hillsdale College, we are on a mission to elevate the barren educational landscape for our students. Classical education ignites minds, cultivates virtue, and prepares students to be contributors of excellence and goodness to their world. Join us in cultivating a foundation for lifelong learning, character, and success. We are looking for world-class individuals who love exceptional education and character, love children and want to see them succeed.

Furthermore, we are interested in team members with whom the following values resonate:

Habitually Inquisitive We delight in learning and are naturally curious. We take the initiative to expand our knowledge and share it with our community so that we may grow together. We seek to wonder and remain curious.

Ardently Devoted We are whole-heartedly dedicated to our students and believe in their limitless potential. We value learning how to think, not what to think. We do not subscribe to indoctrination or ignorance but rather provide a liberal arts education that will empower our students to honor what is good, true, and beautiful.

Supportive We are team-players who collaborate to secure the best outcomes for our school community. We value the unique role each of us plays in building a strong foundation. We edify the good we see in one another to maximize the talents everyone offers.

Coachable We are humble and willing to seek help. We listen, are receptive to ideas, and actively apply those lessons. We self-reflect because this makes us stronger. We can acknowledge room for growth, even when it’s uncomfortable.
