Job Description
The Remarketing Clerk will report to and support the Collections and Sales Manager. In this position you will be cross trained in all aspects of remarketing including: reinstatement and redemption, repossession or resolution of accounts with vehicles that have been impounded or that have pending lien sales, work closely with auction representatives and transportation logistics. The ideal candidate will be comfortable and confident in making outbound and inbound calls to protect and secure financed assets that are in default of the contractual obligation. This position requires a high sense of urgency, organizational skills, energy and multitasking in a fast-past environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reviewing and resolving lien sales, impounded vehicles, and seizures
- Working with mechanics, body shops and tow yards to ensure that lien requirements are met
- Working with state and federal agencies on seizures and vehicles held as evidence to ensure that we don’t lose our interest in the vehicles.
- Manage the valuation, repossession and remarketing of vehicles
- Manage vendor relationships with repossession agencies and auctions
- Maintain weekly and monthly reports of inventory and sales
- Processing reinstatement and redemptions on repossessed accounts
- Arranging and following up on transportation of vehicles throughout various locations
- Take inbound and outbound calls from customers
QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of FDCPA, notice requirements, impound and lien laws
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on detail and accuracy
- Working knowledge of Microsoft excel
- Experience with AutoIMS and RDN a plus
- 1 year Auto Finance experience or related field in auto industry
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a must
