HOURS: On-the-job training will be conducted for this role Moday-Friday from 7:30 am to 4 pm. The shift is 8:30pm-7:00am.
**Press Setup & Operation: **Follow EHG’s Roll Label Core Process. Perform make ready functions. Prepare press using information from job tickets. Understand and operate all press controls. Attend to press during runs to maintain quality. Perform press wash-up and clean-up procedures. Conduct routine press maintenance and upkeep. Accurately scan all job activities for cost accounting.
**Quality Assurance & Troubleshooting: **Review printing and color matching; perform press approvals. Troubleshoot press issues and make production decisions when needed. Adjust run order and contact appropriate departments (ink, plates). Locate materials as necessary to keep production on track. Participate in training as assigned.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE: High school diploma or equivalent. Proven dedication in prior roles through longevity and consistent work history. Prior experience (3 years preferred) as a Flexographic Press Operator, Printing Press Operator, Flexo Press Operator, or similar role. Previous experience in printing on Webtron Flexo Press, Mark Andy Flexo Press, or a Comco 4 to 10 Color Press. (Printing on paper or film materials).
SKILLS: Must be able to identify color variation on labels. Perform basic math skills. An eye for detail and ability to operate basic computer systems (Excel, Outlook, etc.) Dexterity to utilize a phone, type, and write. Read documents on a computer screen, answer phone, and communicate in person. Excellent communication and people skills. Experience working efficiently with minimal supervision.
**ABILITIES: THIS ROLE IS ONSITE IN OMAHA, NE and requires the ability to work at our office at 132nd & L Street. **Ability to lift and move 100 pounds. Frequent bending, stooping, twisting of lumbar and squatting. Ability to stand and walk on cement floors with anti-fatigue mats. Frequent reaching below the waist and shoulder level, and wrist motion and gripping. Work effectively in a loud production environment. Must be authorized to work in the United States, and able to pass a criminal background check and drug/alcohol screen, physical assessments, audio, and color vision test.
