4 Point Consulting is a boutique Human Resources consulting & recruiting firm that specializes in working with venture capital firms, private equity firms, their portfolios, and high-velocity companies in the SMB and mid-market space.
We’re expanding our team by adding an Associate Business Consultant in Denver, CO or Chicago, IL. We’re looking for someone business, sales or marketing savvy (or all three) who can contribute to our business development and client relationship programs at a highly professional level.
Our ideal candidate has an interest in expanding their knowledge in start-up, venture capital and private equity. They are motivated to support 4 Point Consulting in both identifying, pitching and closing new clients, as well as in expanding our professional footprint in key markets. This role requires someone with the skills to create, edit and finalize a client-ready presentation with both high-quality written content & visual appeal to our venture capital and PE client base.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential to success in this role, as is attention to detail, organization skills and a high level of professionalism. You will be a key support role for the management team & the CEO- every day might be different, and you should thrive on that challenge as well as be driven by results.
Responsibilities:
New business development research & prospectus composition
Preparation and support for new business pitches and client meetings
Scheduling and logistical support for Principal marketing trips
Marketing and sales support including client communications, blogs, collateral updates
Proposal, contract and SOW editing/ writing
Powerpoint deck writing, editing, and creation
Miscellaneous support tasks for the Associate Principal team & CEO
Miscellaneous support tasks for Marketing Manager
Other support tasks as required/ of interest
Requirements:
2-4 years of professional work experience in sales, marketing, business development or communications or a related field
Bachelor’s Degree required
Exceptional communication skills; previous experience facing clients or strong desire to face clients a huge plus.
Able to handle confidential information and garner/ keep trust at all levels of the organization
Experience designing and editing professional quality presentation decks using Powerpoint, Google Slides, Canva etc. (you consider yourself tech-savvy!)
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong research skills including tools like Crunchbase, PrivCo, other databases, social media, and general Google searching
Desire to move quickly and work with the leadership team, thriving on tight deadlines and the desire to “get to the win”
Team player and someone who can still collaborate and become a trusted ally of the other team members who are in the HR and talent consulting fields
