Job Description

42Phi Ventures provides Day One real-world experience that will help those interested in entrepreneurship gain a behind the scenes view of the funding side of startup. As a business development intern, you are trained and mentored by members of the staff including the Partners and Directors. You will learn how to properly vet startups for potential investment, how to identify strengths and weakness in startup business models and how to build and grow relationships in the startup ecosystem. Plus you will have the chance to test-drive a career where you can achieve your goals and have an enormous impact on people’s lives.

You'll learn and gain lots of experience in business development and portfolio management while directly engaging with early stage startups. You'll be helping with:

• Direct communication with early stage startups around the world
• Assist partners and executives with portfolio management of companies
• Assist partners and executives in the vetting process of early stage companies
• Written communication with early stage companies

Time commitment is 10-20 hours per week. Your internship could lead to a successful transition to a desirable position and stock options in the company. Requirements:

• Student currently enrolled
• Active understanding of entrepreneurship
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Very fast learner and ability to multitask
• Resourcefulness is gold!

Its a plus if you have worked with a startup, built your own startup or are studying entrepreneurship
