47 Degrees, a global consulting firm specializing in functional programming, is looking for a talented Solutions Architect to lead and nurture projects involving Scala, Kotlin, Swift, Spark, Kafka, Google Cloud Platform, and other technologies in the Engineering and Big Data space.

SOME OF THE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES OF OUR SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT INCLUDE;

• Provide architectural consulting to our clients. Design robust enterprise level solutions that consider scale, security, reliability, and cost.
• Work with the sales team and engineering leadership to assist with technical vetting, proof of concepts, etc.
• Design content for customized workshops, trainings, webinars, and industry best-practice sessions with customers.
• Deliver on multiple projects at once, and manage resources accordingly. Projects often span timezones and may require timeshifting.
• Mentor and teach your colleagues including junior engineers.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Modern architecture design experience with technologies like Scala, Kotlin, Spark, Kafka, etc.
• Experience with modern architecture patterns and practices - reactive, microservices, DDD, etc.
• Expert level understanding of Functional Programming concepts.
• Strong grasp of Cloud-based application deployment architectures.
• Familiar with iOS and Android application development and architecture.
• Effective coaching and leadership skills and an ability to successfully champion solutions.
• Excellent command of oral and written English.
• Clear, persuasive, and effective communication on both technical and non-technical levels.
• Agile/Scrum Project Management methodology.
• Hands-on experience of online software delivery and project management technologies such as GitHub, Jira, etc
• Ability to travel frequently to client locations around the world. A few weeks at the start of an engagement is common.
