About the Role:
The Goddard School of Waunakee, WI is looking for a passionate and dedicated 4K Lead Teacher to inspire young minds during one of the most important stages of their development. Responsibilities:
Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans for 4K students
Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that supports social, emotional, and cognitive development
Observe, assess, and document each child's developmental progress and milestones
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student growth and classroom activities
Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides
Maintain a clean, organized, and developmentally appropriate classroom setting
Collaborate with school leadership and fellow educators to uphold Goddard School standards and best practices
Requirements:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred
Experience working with preschool or 4K-aged children in a licensed childcare or educational setting
Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) and early childhood curriculum
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Ability to build warm, trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues
Must meet Wisconsin state licensing requirements for lead teacher qualifications
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
