Vertical Adventures, a 5.Life (5.life) brand, is seeking General Managers for two of our Columbus, OH locations.
We’re a rock climbing gym with three locations in Central Ohio on a mission to provide the best rock climbing experience around.
A 5.Life General Manager is responsible for all aspects of managing the operations at the climbing center.
The ideal candidate has a strong guest-first mentality and is highly skilled at managing guest satisfaction. You have a passion for the outdoors. Your demeanor is calm and friendly. You work well in a team-driven culture. You generously share what you know and lead by example.

Compensation:
- 45-65K salary (experienced based)

Desired Experience:
- 2 years previous management experience in hospitality or retail
- Computer literate
- Enforcing policies and procedures
- P & L management (meeting financial objectives, maintaining costs, maximizing profitability)
- Staff training and motivation
- Staff scheduling (monitor daily to ensure appropriate staffing levels to maintain customer service levels)
- Managing greater than 20 people
Responsibilities
- Identify problems in the day-to-day operations and ways to fix them
- Manage day-to-day operations while also working toward long-term business goals
- Identify profits and losses and operating within the parameters of budgets
- Daily communication across many teams (accounting, operations, human resources, and executive management)
- Interview, hire, train and manage new employees
- Develop the team and provide paths for growth within the company
- Maintain company culture and staff morale
- Keep operations as streamlined as possible
- Understand key revenue drivers and identify any room for improvement
- Make decisions on how to operate the business from both a guest and financial standpoint
